Hello WGASC Color Guard Community,
Happy December! I know you’re all busy bringing your shows to life. Hopefully, you’ve started staging, choreographing, and getting parts in your performers’ hands. Try to make as much progress as possible before the holiday break—your future self will thank you!
I’m attaching three checklists to help you stay on track:
1. Updated December Checklist – A tool to check where you are with logistics and production planning.
2. Downstairs Checklist – Focused on choreography details.
3. Upstairs Checklist – For effect and composition components to ensure variety and range for all classes.
Pro Tip: Aim to have your entire show ready by your first performance! A complete show sets your performers up for success and allows them to grow at every performance.
Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Southern California Education Day—it was a blast! If you’re in the Las Vegas area, don’t miss our Education Day this Saturday. It’s not too late to register here.
Finally, take time this holiday season to relax and enjoy loved ones.
If you have some spare reading time be sure to review the judges’ sheets for your class. Understanding these guidelines can make a big difference as you produce your show. You can find those sheets in the Competition Suite page labeled “2025 WGI CG Adjudication Manual & Rulebook”. Be sure to also review the WGASC Class Descriptions.
Best wishes for a productive and joyful December. Happy holidays, my friends!
Warm regards,
Rosie Queen
