Greg Llacer is a long-standing fixture in the WGASC community, as a current member of our Board of Directors since 2006, and a former executive committee member. His twenty years of experience teaching and designing for bands and color guards began and ended at Vista High School, with other high school and college experiences along the way, including Dana Hills HS, El Camino HS, Rancho Buena Vista HS, and Poway HS, SDSU, NAU, and Brigham Young University. Currently, Greg adjudicates for Bands of America, Drum Corps International, and most recently has allied with Winter Guard International Winds. He also has been the Chief Judge of the Texas Color Guard Circuit (TCGC) for the past twelve years.

Greg was a former member of the Field Adjudication Steering Committee of the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association (from which he received the Distinguished Service Award). At WGASC, he is the recipient of the Order of Excellence and Hall of Fame Honors.

As WGASC’s Color Guard Chief Judge, Greg will be responsible for designing and delivering training materials for our judging community, preparing our local and guest judges for weekly contests during the season, as well as stewarding the process of preparing and trialing potential candidates who are interested in becoming adjudicators.

Look for communication soon regarding judge training and an open invitation to those interested in learning more about the judging process.

You can reach Greg directly at GLlacer@wgasc.org
