Notre Dame High School is seeking a Color Guard Instructor for the 2025-26 academic year. Please click on this link to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Instruct and provide coaching for color guard techniques (flags, rifles, sabers…)
- Instruct and provide coaching for dance
- Facilitate color guard rehearsals
- Provide individual and small group instruction as needed
- Collaborate with Band Directors to ensure student supervision at rehearsals and competitions
- Collaborate with Band Director to curate music repertoire for competitions (Winter Guard only)
- Must be present at all rehearsals, football games, Band Camp, and marching performances
- Create guard routines in correspondence with the IKB
- Develop routines, drill, and curate music for color guard competitions (Winter Guard only)
- Provide visual input for marching performances
- Collaborate with the Band Director regularly before, during, and after a rehearsal/performance
Qualifications:
- Prior color guard performing experience required
- Prior color guard coaching experience required
- Must be able to choreograph and execute guard routines
- Must be able to teach and explain prop techniques (flags, rifles, sabers…)
- Must be punctual, reliable, and professional
