These groups can range from concert bands, marching bands, and orchestras to smaller chamber ensembles. The winds division typically includes instruments such as flutes, clarinets, oboes, bassoons, saxophones, trumpets, trombones, and French horns. These groups often perform a wide range of musical styles, from classical to contemporary, and their performances can range from formal concert settings to outdoor marching band competitions.
The sounds produced by winds instruments boast an impressive range from booming and powerful, to bright and piercing, to smooth and mellow, to soft and delicate. And much like the range of these sounds, we offer training programs and resources for a wide spectrum of all skill levels that are tailored to the individual needs of each performer. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joy and discipline of winds performance, and we strive to help performers find their fullest potential. Our diverse team of experienced educators, coaches, and mentors work with our members to develop their skills, build their confidence, and create memorable performances. We also provide performance opportunities and competitions that provide a platform for our members to showcase their skills and talents. We are proud to cultivate excellence within an inclusive community and to play a role in igniting the spark for performers to make their mark.
