Director Academy & Orientation Meetings

WGASC Director and Student Academy is a great opportunity for our directors and students to prepare for the upcoming season!

Join us Saturday December 2, 2017 at Santa Ana High School from 9am-1pm. Presenters will be Keynote speaker Mark Metzger from James Logan High School,  Don Gallaher from Valencia HS and Jason Kramer from Creative Costuming.  Sessions include “Crafting Transitions”, an “Advanced Show Design” clinic and “How to Costume Your Guard”.

There will also be Individual Design Consultations available with Mark Metzger and Don Gallaher!  This amazing opportunity is limited to 12 slots per clinician. Each slot is limited to 5 minutes.  This opportunity will fill fast so sign up today!

The student track will be presented by Keynote speaker Ryan Turner, Brian Nunez and several other industry professionals. The student leadership track will cover the transition from field to the court, the impact of social media on team dynamics, student leadership and emerging student leaders as well as equipment maintenance.

  • 5 minute clinic. Only 12 spots available per clinician. When the spots are filled the clinician event will be closed.

An indemnification where the participant agrees to pay the District for any losses it may suffer as a result of the participant’s participation in the activity. A medical consent in which the participant agrees to be responsible for his/her own medical expenses that may result.
